Megan Halpern

Megan received her MS from Cornell University in 2009 and is currently pursuing a PhD Communication. Her research interests include interactions between art and science, artist/scientist collaboration, and public engagement in science and technology. Her current research projects include the development of tools to minimize barriers in collaborations between scientists and artists, as well ways of engaging the public in science through arts inspired interactions. Megan is an experienced science theater producer, having created shows for schools and for New York theaters (including collaborations with Carl Djerassi, an inventor of the birth control pill and now a leading proponent of “science in fiction”). She is the co-founder of Redshift Productions , a company that creates science performances and works with artists and scientists to create new forms of scientific outreach.
